Is there a certain way I should cut my cake?

Yes. In order to achieve the correct amount of servings from your cake please follow the cake cutting guide that will be attached to your cake box at pick up/delivery.  

Can I pick-up my cake?

If you would like to pick up your cake we will provide you with full transport, assembly and storage instructions. Please note that once the cake has been collected, the client is fully responsible for the safety of the cake. Desert Bloom Confections is not liable from damage that occurs to the cake after the cake has left our possession. 

Do you Deliver?

Yes, delivery is available for an additional charge. 

For celebration cakes delivery only is as follows: 

1-6 miles is $15

7-10 miles is $20

Over 10 miles is $1 per mile

For wedding cakes delivery up to 10 miles and and set up is $35.00.

over 10 miles is $1 per mile. 

Mileage is calculated from the intersections at Silverbell Rd. and Wade Rd.

Why does the final price of a cake vary?

Each cake is made from scratch to order and is designed to meet the individual customers needs. More than just flour and sugar goes into each cake. Custom design and baking from scratch take time and special supplies. The price of each cake will vary according to design, labor and supplies needed for the cake.

What are the terms?

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book your date and must be cleared before any work is carried out. For Wedding cakes the final balance is payable 1 weeks before completion.  For celebration cakes the final payment is due upon delivery or pick-up.  

What is the cancellation policy?

 For cancellations with more than 4 weeks notice before completion, the deposit is non-refundable and any specifically ordered items and work already undertaken on your order is chargeable. For cancellations with less than 2 week’s notice before the completion date, the full balance is payable.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, Paypal or credit/debit cards through our invoicing. 

Do you do tastings?

The fee for a tasting is $30.00 and is only available for orders over $300.00.  You are given the option of choosing 3 flavors of cake and fillings.  Tastings can be done in person or can be picked up and consultation completed via Zoom.
